Before and after of Blatten, Switzerland — a village that was buried yesterday following the collapse of the Birch Glacier.
Approximately 90% of the village was buried underneath this massive cascade of rocks that was captured in the video seen here. Thanks to a full evacuation days earlier due to smaller preceding slides, mass casualties were avoided, though one person remains missing.
