Candlestick Park

Candlestick Park in San Francisco, CA was built in 1960 and became home to the 49ers football team for more than five decades. The final 49ers game was played here on December 23, 2013, with the team moving the following season to Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.

Demolition of Candlestick began in February 2015 with nearly 98% of the materials recycled. This reel begins with a 49ers game in 2002 and follows the stadium’s slow, piece-by-piece dismantling until it became the empty lot that it is today.
