Military strikes carried out this morning in Tehran by United States and Israeli forces appear to have severely damaged the compound of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Located in the center of the capital, the secured site served as both his residence and administrative headquarters. It is currently unclear whether Khamenei was present at the time of the attack or if he was injured.
The strikes were part of a broader wave of attacks on military and government sites across the country. Iran has since launched retaliatory attacks targeting Israeli territory and United States military bases in the region. We will share additional satellite imagery of other locations as it becomes available.
