The Statue of Unity, in Gujarat, India, is the world's tallest statue at a height of 597 feet (182 meters). Located on the Namarda River just south of Sardar Sarovar Dam, it depicts Indian statesman and independence activist Vallabhbhai Patel, who was the first deputy prime minister of independent India.
