Water levels on Lake Travis, a reservoir in central Texas, USA, can vary dramatically depending on the amount of rainfall in the Colorado River basin upstream. This Timelapse shows the lake between 2021 — when the average water level was 662 feet (202 m) above mean sea level — and 2023, which has averaged 637 feet (194 m) thus far. Just last week, on September 19, Lake Travis recorded its fourth-lowest water level in history at 629.69 feet (191.93 m).
