Citystars Sharm El Sheikh, a resort on Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, is home to the largest man-made lagoon in the world. Opened in 2015, the Crystal Lagoon is filled with about 66 million gallons (250 million litres) of filtered sea water and covers nearly 30 acres (12 hectares).
