Largest Man-made Lagoon

Citystars Sharm El Sheikh, a resort on Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, is home to the largest man-made lagoon in the world. Opened in 2015, the Crystal Lagoon is filled with about 66 million gallons (250 million litres) of filtered sea water and covers nearly 30 acres (12 hectares). It is long enough to fit 20 Olympic-sized swimming pools end to end. Watch until the end to see how it compares to other pools in the area.
