Lake Gowd-e-Zareh is a seasonal lake in southern Afghanistan. Situated at the lowest level of the Sistan Basin, it only receives runoff when the Helmand River and its major tributaries overflow, every 10 years on average. Gowd-e Zareh has no outlet and loses water only via evaporation, making it a hypersaline lake.
