Frozen NYC
New York City is currently experiencing unusually cold weather, with actual temperatures in the low teens (around 10–15°F / -12 to -9°C) and wind chills dipping below zero — as low as -15°F / -26°C this week due to strong northwest winds. This isn’t a brief cold snap: the city has spent more than a week below freezing, allowing ice to steadily accumulate on the Hudson River, as seen in the video here. The first photo shows the city on January 29th.
