Burj Khalifa
Skyscrapers pierce through the clouds over Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with the Burj Khalifa rising above them all.
Standing at 2,717 feet (828 meters), the Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world and the centerpiece of Downtown Dubai. Its 163 floors overlook the Dubai Fountain, Dubai Mall, Dubai Opera, and other landmarks, while its design draws inspiration from the Hymenocallis, a desert flower with long petals extending from its center. Dubai has one of the world’s most vertical skylines, with more supertall skyscrapers — buildings over 300 meters — than any other city on Earth.
